This interesting old chair is properly called a Campaign chair as it would typically have been used by an officer out in the field and kept folded in his tent. The sling seat is made from a strip of carpet, as is the leg rest. Thew head rest is padded and covered with cotton velvet. Both coverings really need replacing and the frame needs polishing. There are antique signs of visitation by woodwork which are no longer alive! Possibly Great War "Veterans"
