The Vintage Lille Claus & Store Claus Denmark Salt & Pepper Shakers are a charming set of novelty shakers made of porcelain. The shakers were produced by Aluminia, a Danish ceramics factory that later merged with Royal Copenhagen.
Designer: They were designed by Herluf Jensenius in 1947. The figures are based on the characters from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "Little Claus and Big Claus" (Lille Claus and Store Claus). These vintage salt and pepper shakers are a delightful addition to any kitchen or dining table for collectors and those looking to add a touch of nostalgia to their home decor. Fair to Good condition - see last two photos show a chip on Store’s hat and a nik on Lille’s hat. Some crazing on bottom due to age (these are 1950s-1960s)
