Westcott FJ400 II 400Ws Touchscreen Strobe with FJ Pro AC/DC Battery

Westcott expands the FJ line by introducing the FJ400 II 400Ws Touchscreen Strobe with FJ Pro AC/DC Battery as the brand's fastest 400Ws monolight. The second generation of the FJ400 recycles in 0.01-0.9 sec ensuring speed and reliability while offering relevant upgrades. The FJ400 II brings improvements to its design with a 30W bi-color LED modeling light and a full-color OLED touchscreen for intuitive and uncomplicated onboard control. In addition to these upgrades, other settings are to be highlighted, including flash durations with a Freeze mode and a Creative Mask feature for better efficiency. Users will also benefit from flexible AC/DC power options with the included interchangeable FJ Pro battery that provides up to 550 full power flashes per charge. The FJ400 II is a compact and rapid strobe lighting solution with little weight at 5.3 lb for great portability.

Power & Performance

The FJ400 II's 9-stop power range (1.56 - 400Ws) in 0.1 and 1.0 increments makes it readily adaptable to a variety of situations. The flash head is backed by a 1/24,000 peak action-stopping flash duration in Freeze mode, is capable of 50 fps (camera and power dependent), and supports high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second as well as front and rear curtain sync. Users can also adjust flash exposure compensation from -3 to +3 EV. The FJ400 II was designed to suit both studio and on-location

shoots.

Creative Mask Mode

In addition to basic manual and TTL flash modes, other handy settings are available, such as the Westcott Creative Mask feature, a great asset for high-volume and fast-paced shoots. This functionality gives photographers the ability to create up to six lighting combinations without moving the fixtures. Thanks to the FJ400 II's touchscreen, users can easily control when each light fires in a sequence to capture multiple dynamic looks from a single setup.

Seamless Integration

The FJ400 II is part of Westcott's 2.4 GHz FJ wireless system, meaning it can work with all FJ triggers and flashes for a cohesive lighting ecosystem. Control your setup with an optional FJ-X trigger for compatibility with major camera brands. The Westcott StudioLink app also offers wireless adjustments and advanced functionality directly from your smartphone.

Wireless 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency

The flash head has an integrated 31-channel, 16-group, 2.4 GHz wireless radio frequency with a range of 328'. The wireless system prevents interference with other photographers or to shoot several individual setups.

Interchangeable Batteries

The FJ400 II runs on a powerful, removable 29.6V, 2500mAh AC/DC lithium-ion battery that will give you 550 full and thousands of low-power flashes on a 1.5-hour charge. The included FJ Pro battery has LED status indicators to keep you appraised of remaining power. Users can also decide to purchase the separately available FJ ProMax battery with higher capacity to achieve up to 1000 flashes at full power. The FJ400 II's shared battery compatibility with the FJ800 unit eliminates the need for multiple power solutions, while a convenient AC trickle-charge functionality ensures uninterrupted performance during extended sessions.

30W Bi-Color LED Modeling Light

An upgraded 30W LED modeling light is employed with bi-color adjustability from 2700 to 6500K, which allows easy framing and composition.

Mounting & Firmware Updates

This monolight has a Bowens S front and comes with a 5/8" tilting bracket to mount on separately available light stands, as well as a 9mm umbrella receptacle. Also, a USB-C port is present for firmware updates.

Essential Accessories

The FJ400 II ships with a magnetic 5.5" reflector with a gel set (CTO, 1/2-CTO, window green, and diffusion). An insert is also included to allow use of optional Westcott's Rapid Box Switch softboxes. A carry case is provided for storage and transport.

Westcott FJ200 Strobe

Employing the familiar, intuitive monolight form factor, Westcott has rolled out the FJ200 Strobe with power, fast response, and the asset of a removable, rechargeable, lithium-ion polymer battery that will give you 450 full-power flashes on a 2-hour charge. The FJ200 has a 9-stop power range in 0.1 stop increments and recycles in a fast 0.5 to 1.3 seconds. It is backed by a 1/20,000 peak action-stopping flash duration in Freeze Mode, is capable of 20 fps, and supports High-Speed Sync up to 1/8000 second as well as front and rear curtain sync.

One of the FJ200's exciting features is its TTL option. The flash has an integrated 16-channel, 32-group, 2.4 GHz receiver that with separate purchase of an FJ-X2m Wireless Trigger or FJ80 Universal Speedlight, will accept TTL signals at distances up to 328' from Canon, Nikon, Sony (with adapter), FUJIFILM, Panasonic Lumix, and Olympus cameras. The flash has a 5/8" receiver to mount on industry-standard light stands, as well as a USB-C port for Windows and Mac firmware updates. Westcott generously provides a reflector, travel case, 30-degree grid, and a USB cable.

Westcott FJ Pro Battery for FJ800 and FJ400 II Strobes

Designed for the FJ800 and FJ400 II touchscreen strobes, the FJ Pro Battery from Westcott is a 29.6V rechargeable battery that produces over 250 full power FJ800 flashes and over 550 full power FJ400 II flashes. Charge the 2500mAh battery to full power in approximately 1.5 hours and monitor its status with the LED charging status light indicator.
